Mandarin Oriental Fan Club benefits, booked through a preferred advisor

Mandarin Oriental Fan Club is the preferred partner program for Mandarin Oriental hotels. When you book through me, I can add breakfast, hotel credit, upgrade consideration, welcome amenities, and direct advisor support. You cannot access it through Amex Fine Hotels + Resorts.

What you get when you book through a Mandarin Oriental Fan Club advisor

Mandarin Oriental Fan Club is separate from the public Fans of M.O. membership program. Fans of M.O. is useful, but Fan Club is the advisor channel for VIP hotel benefits and property-side recognition.

The program is available only through accredited advisors. It does not appear as a public booking option on mandarinoriental.com. When you book through me, your reservation arrives at the property flagged. The team knows who you are and who sent you before you walk in the door.

Room upgrade

A one-category room upgrade, subject to availability at check-in. Some hotels may have property-specific upgrade rules or enhanced offers.

Daily breakfast for two

Daily full breakfast for two guests at eligible Mandarin Oriental properties.

Welcome amenity

A personalized welcome amenity and note arranged by the property.

Hotel credit

Usually a $100 food and beverage or spa credit per stay, though a few properties use alternative benefits.

Exclusive offers

Select hotels may offer third, fourth, or fifth night free promotions, guaranteed upgrades, or property-specific Fan Club benefits.

Guest protection

I confirm the exact Fan Club benefits by property before booking, because Mandarin Oriental benefits can vary more than travelers expect.

"Mandarin Oriental is a brand where the details matter. Fan Club is often the better path because it is the brand’s own preferred advisor program."

How Mandarin Oriental prioritizes VIP requests

1
Mandarin Oriental Fan Club
Advisor-booked reservations through the brand program. First in line for brand-specific recognition and VIP handling.
2
Travel agent consortium programs
Virtuoso, Internova Select, and similar affiliations
3
Amex Fine Hotels + Resorts
A strong card benefit, but not the same as the brand’s own preferred advisor channel

How the options compare

All three paths can book many of the same Mandarin Oriental properties. What changes is what you receive when you arrive, and who is looking out for you before, during, and after your stay.

What I do that no program can

When you book a luxury hotel through a card benefit, you are one of thousands of cardholders in a queue. When you book through me, the property knows your name, your preferences, and that you are arriving as my client.

I keep a detailed profile for every client: room preferences, dietary needs, travel quirks, what made a past trip work and what did not. That context travels with you. You never have to explain yourself twice.

My fee to you for hotel-only preferred partner bookings is usually nothing. I am compensated by the hotel after your stay. You pay the eligible hotel rate, and you receive more.

Common questions about Mandarin Oriental Fan Club

What is Mandarin Oriental Fan Club?

Mandarin Oriental Fan Club is the brand’s preferred partner program for authorized travel advisors. It adds VIP benefits to eligible Mandarin Oriental bookings.

Is Fan Club the same as Fans of M.O.?

No. Fans of M.O. is Mandarin Oriental’s public membership program. Fan Club is the preferred advisor booking channel with enhanced hotel benefits.

What benefits are included?

Typical Fan Club benefits include daily breakfast for two, a $100 food and beverage or spa credit, a welcome amenity, high-speed internet, and upgrade consideration.

Do all Mandarin Oriental hotels participate?

Mandarin Oriental Fan Club is generally available across the Mandarin Oriental portfolio, but exact benefits can vary by hotel.

Is Fan Club better than Amex Fine Hotels + Resorts?

Often, yes, especially when the hotel credit flexibility and brand-side advisor recognition matter. Amex FHR can still be worth comparing for guaranteed late checkout.

Does Fan Club cost extra?

Usually no. You pay the eligible hotel rate, and the benefits are attached through the advisor booking channel.
